VIEWING EXAMPLE - UNCONVERTED PNG IMAGE FILE

The Zoomify Image Viewer supports iewing images without first processing them. JPEG and PNG files are supported.

This approach removes a workflow step - conversion with the Zoomify Converter to create a Zoomify Image Folder or Zoomify Image File (ZIF). It is important to note, however - the images must be entirely downloaded prior to viewing. They must therefore be small - mere kilobytes in size rather than megabytes or even gigabytes in size. Loading time is also decreased by reducing the number of images.
